The workshop on “Seed Biotechology and Plant Development” served to create synergies between scientists of the University of Salamanca and innovative companies linked to agriculture.
On 21 October 2016, the Spanish-Portuguese Institute for Agricultural Research (CIALE, acronym in Spanish) of the University of Salamanca hosted a workshop on ‘Seed Biotechology and Plant Development’ which included presentations of the research being carried out at the centre and in two companies closely linked to agriculture, Cecosa Semillas and Biomar. The meeting served to explore collaboration among all the parties through research projects that will have a positive impact on both farming and consumers.
