USAL group on the cutting edge of study on university intellectual property and entrepreneurship

GIR Euripides conducts research, training and works on resolving legal inquiries, both internal and external to the University, regarding the protection of research findings and the transfer of knowledge.

The University of Salamanca (USAL) Group for Recognised Research (GIR) in Intellectual Property, Innovation and Socioeconomic Development (Euripides) specialises in the study of university-based intellectual property and entrepreneurship. Directed by Professor Fernando Carbajo Cascon, the group has developed two projects in recent years, one for the Regional Government of Castile and Leon on the protection of research and the transfer of results, and the other on the National Plan for RD&I for the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (MINECO) regarding intellectual property and universities, which will conclude shortly with the publication of a collective study on these two fields, a manual which will serve as a national and international reference.
