Scientists from USAL characterise lentils of la Armuña

The University of Salamanca highlights the nutritional value of this legume with Protected Geographic Indication (PGI) status from the northeast part of the province.

Researchers from the University of Salamanca have characterised the lentils with Protected Geographic Indication (PGI) status ‘Lenteja de la Armuña’. The results indicate that this legume, harvested in the northeast part of the province of Salamanca, are noted for their high nutritional value. This work better defines which products can bear the certificate of quality.
