Wembley Studios, a company based in the Science Park of the University of Salamanca, was voted one of the most promising companies of Castile and Leon after being selected as one of the success stories of the ADE2020 Programme.

The Science Park of the University of Salamanca continues to reap success by attracting promising companies. This time, it is thanks to Wembley Studies, a company dedicated to the development of applications for the sports sector. Its focus in this sector was due to an untapped niche with great potential, as Social Director Felix Velasco assured us during this interview.

In fact, one of his most recent projects is Golygol, a ‘social betting’ system in which a group of friends can play together, placing bets while keeping track of the live results from the league. It is obviously a good tool to use during the current Euro Cup playoffs.

The company works with technologies linked to fans, R&D, consulting, communication, development, interface design and user experience.

The company is considered a success story in our community. General Director of Wembley Studios, Javier Ovejero, and Social Responsibility Director Felix Velasco met this week at the Centre for Business Solutions for the Regional Community of Castile and Leon in Valladolid with José Eduardo Campos, from Microsoft Corporate in Redmond, Iñigo Esteban, from Esteban Consulting, José Ribot García, General Director of the Agency of Innovation, and Beatriz Casado Sáenz, director of the Departament of Innovation and Entrepreneurship ADE.
