The internet of Things, the digitisation of physical items

The internet of Things, the of physical items

The Internet of Things is a phenomenon that is revolutionising the service industry and sector.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to participate in “MeetUp IoT Analytics Spain”, organised by Synergic Partners, a company specialising in Big Data, Data Science and Data Engineering which allows companies to strengthen the strategic value of their data.

I exchanged ideas with company directors, presented my personal vision of this world, and spoke about projects the BISITE group has carried out in this field.

Internet of Things is an expression which has become increasingly present in our discourse, referring to the possibility of connecting the greatest number of objects that surround us in our environment either directly to us or among themselves. Indeed, while the number of elements connected to a network is thought to be in the billions we are now looking at even greater numbers. The possibilities of the ILO to generate business and services are vast, with research in this area booming as many research groups, from both public and private institutions, working on products and services with a high value add.
