Sentiment analysis provides us with a general understanding about what internet users think about something specific, a company, a product, a brand name, an individual or a country. This is a well-known problem for which the BISITE Research Group from the University of Salamanca already has solutions based on hybrid techniques of artificial intelligence, which permit using connectionist algorithms as well as symbolic structures. In my speech, I was talking about the future of this technology and how social machines allow us to expand even further, reaching the individual to know what each user thinks about the internet, to identify user tendencies and simulate where they move toward. It should be noted in this respect that this information can also be used to model internet behavior, to change the general direction, identify tendencies, leaders and followers.

This is a fascinating world in which BIG DATA and Artificial Intelligence can join forces to develop much stronger and precise Online Marketing systems.
