Seminar on research in bibliographical heritage

The objective of the CERL-REBIUM Seminar, which took place today in the Faculty of Translation and Documentation, is to study and disseminate the sources of historical bibliographical collections.

Under the title “Coordinated research on Sources. Looking towards the future. Part 2”, the purpose of this day was to present the projects developed by different Spanish and foreign libraries in this field, including databases of origins and research work.

At my side during the inauguration were Cristina Dondi from the University of Oxford, representing CERL, Jose Antonio Merlo Vega, Director of Library Services at the University of Salamanca, Mauela Moro Cabrero, Director of the Department of Library and Information Science from USAL, and Antonio Galan Gall, Director of the Library Area at the University of Castile La Mancha, representing REBIUN.

The REBIUN  Heritage Group is one of the stable groups in the Spanish University Libraries Network, working under CRUE, while CERL is a European consortium. The work done in these networks focuses on the best access, use and conservation of the bibliographical heritage.
