Fostering and leading technological development through the University of Salamanca

In recent weeks we have been sharing our project idea with different media in order to make known our proposals for the strengthening of the University of Salamanca. A few days ago, I did an interview for the Spanish newspaper ‘El Español’ in which I laid out the vision of this exciting project.

One of the objectives we have set for the University of Salamanca is to make it a leader in technological development in Castile and Leon. Based on new proposals for undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral degrees, we will be able to offer other training alternatives adapted to the needs of today’s society. In addition to promoting the exchange between business and university and international presence.

During the interview, I also expressed our interest in promoting the International Spanish Language Centre, including the development of projects and the centre’s activities.

To achieve all this, we need the support of the university community. In this regard, during the interview I stated our short-term objective: ‘We are currently in an electoral process, and our mission is to continue to inspire all our colleagues, all our students and the cities in which the University of Salamanca is present. I think that, together with my team, which I have the feeling that all the University staff have liked, we are transmitting what we are going to do, visiting each and every centre, and we have been very warmly welcomed.

Many thanks to the Spanish newspaper ‘El Español’ and to Luis Falcón for the interview, you can read it in full here
